That's what married people knew and were used to for years. But when the draft of the new Personal Status Law, which Parliament is currently debating, came out, we found an article stating that the wife has the right to dissolve the marriage contract within the first six months. And of course, this article caused a stir on social media in the past few days, becoming a trending topic and causing a stir. Many people argued about it and didn't understand what it meant for a marriage contract to be dissolved. And why six months specifically? Why not just put an expiration date on the husband's backside while they're at it? What's the story behind this article? Where did it come from? How will it be implemented?
