4K Video - All-Mountain route in the high mountains, straddling the Italian-French border, around the Guglia Rossa in search of autumn colors. Departing from the Melezet hamlet of Bardonecchia, we ascend the Valle Stretta, home to the famous Parete dei Militi, a place dedicated to sport climbing. The plateau is normally uniquely beautiful, but now it's accented by the yellow, red, and orange hues and the carpet of fallen larches that have been transformed into their winter coats. A mandatory detour then takes us to Lago Verde, but... arriving from above, from the Pont de la Fonderie. Returning to the refuges, near Terzo Alpini, the real climb begins, along a trail, toward Colle di Thures, at 2,200 meters above sea level and featuring a fantastic lake reflecting the mountains. Lago di Chavillon is its correct name, but it's also known as Lago di Thures. Now all that's left to do is begin the climb toward the Guglia Rossa. We reach its foot before the final climb begins, and from the panoramic hill at 2,300 meters, we enjoy the view that spans the Italian and French mountains. From here, a nearly endless descent begins, leading us to Nevache in the Clarèe Valley. This descent is characterized by a very unique high-mountain environment and extraordinary hydrogeological erosion phenomena; it's no coincidence that it's a Geopark. The descent is characterized by a very large number of switchbacks, always relatively easy. The surface varies greatly, from very loose to compacted scree, often accompanied by exposed sections. It's a challenging route, but not overly difficult, requiring excellent mountain biking skills. It's 40 kilometers long and has an elevation gain of 1,600 meters.
