I Trail della Serra e dei 5 Laghi di Ivrea, ma non il solito giro!

The Ivrea area is characterized by impressive signs of the passage of the prehistoric glaciers that covered the entire Aosta Valley. We'll ride along the Serra di Ivrea, the main moraine left by the passage of the glaciers, an immense geological phenomenon. We'll observe the rocks in the area scraped by debris transported by the glaciers, and ride along fantastic single tracks immersed in the woods that lead to the lakes of Ivrea. These were also formed by glacial erosion. There are five main ones, all truly interesting, among which the following stand out: Lago Nero, the most natural; Lago Pistono, with traces of human presence in the Neolithic period; Lago Sirio, the largest, most accessible, and most popular with tourists. A varied and intense ride, requiring physical fitness and riding technique. Some sections are quite challenging, but these are spread out over the length of the route. The ride is 49 km long and has a 1,400-meter elevation gain. The route map is available on Komoot in my profile, which you can find by searching for: pinomarzi (Please note that Komoot often calculates elevation gain lower than the actual gain.) #serraivrea #lagonero #lagopistono #lagosirio #ivrea #percorsimtb #trailmtb 00:00 - Intro 04:23 - Ciocarun 04:38 - Trail Mirtilli 07:25 - Torre Bastia 10:31 - Andrate 11:21 - Start of descents on the lakes 16:33 - Lago Nero 20:28 - Lago Pistono 21:56 - Lago Sirio 22:01 - Final thoughts and farewells
