Metro Transit Introduces Their New Fare Machines

Tom Curran, Executive Vice President of Administration, showcases MetroLink`s new Ticket Vending Machine and demonstrates the automatic connection between Metro`s new fare validators and the security gates which customers will soon experience. Metro`s new ticket vending machines will create an improved user experience with an interactive touch screen and a new fare option. The new machines will still accept both cash or card and dispense tickets or passes to ride MetroLink. One of the exciting new features is that these machines can provide Ride On smart cards, which riders can use instead of traditional fare, allowing riders an easy way to maintain a balance to pay for fare, go through the security gates and access the MetroLink with an app on their smart phones.
