MKT - Kent Lake/Huron River

Initially wasn't going to sign up for the Michigan Kayak Trail's final event of the year, but after several friends reached out to me I was convinced to give it my all. First and foremost, I want to shout out ATI Physical Therapy in Ann Arbor for helping me get fit all summer in order to feel confident to take on the Huron River for a full day of fishing against some of Michigan's best anglers. We could fish Kent Lake or any moving water in a 25 mile radius. Ultimately, I went about 5 minutes down the road to a spot I've fished most of my life. I've only taken measurements once out on this area and my best five went 85.00" in one day of fishing. I knew it probably wouldn't be enough to win, but definitely felt I could be competitive on the day. Ultimately, I took 12th place with my second best day on my home water at 83.50" - finding four at the very end of the day.
