Mononoke Hime - Journey to the West - with Score (Analyzed) - Joe Hisaishi - Full Score
Hi everyone, I'm Tommi. Some info and PDF link here. ~ ~ ~ Link to this analysis PDF: / jourey-to-west-51701344 Link to "The Legend of Ashitaka" video analysis: / legend-of-hime-46234340 More videos that youtube deletes are on Patreon, plus more score analysis coming soon! / tommasoannoni ~ ~ ~ Pease enjoy this transcription and analysis of the film scoring cue "Journey to the West" (from the movie "Mononoke Hime"; composer: Joe Hisaishi). BTW, it's a beautiful movie with an outstandingly real and honest story: you should watch it. This is a little teaser, the beautiful cue "The Legend of Ashitaka" has been removed from youtube so it's on my Patreon account. It is my first time adding notes / little analysis to a score for other people, and I would really like to do more and better for who is interested in orchestral and film music: please let me know if you would prefer something done differently in the future (example: reduced score in fewer staves, just piano reduction, transposed score, more/less written notes, bigger text, bigger music, etc). I was writing this for a potential concert, canceled because of the virus, so I then decided to analyze it and upload it for everyone's benefit. [Some differences from the original cue are due to the specificity of the orchestra. For example, often Violin 2 is doubling the Viola, because our viola section was rather small)] ~ ~ ~ Original composition: Joe Hisaishi Transcription and notes: Tommaso Annoni ~ ~ ~ I do not own the right to the music, nor to the images from the movie. I did the music transcription and analysis, explanations, etc. The copyrighted content is here used for educational purposes, as by Section 107 of the Copyright Act.
