【熊本城マラソン】その熱は尋常じゃない。

In February 2026, I participated in the Kumamoto Castle Marathon. The continuous cheers from the roadside along the 42km course, and the generously portioned meals that filled participants to their hearts' content, conveyed the warm hospitality unique to Kumamoto, the "Land of Fire." True to its name, the "Historical Tour Full Marathon" course, starting at Kumamoto Castle, winding through the city's historical landscapes and returning to the castle, was filled with romance, like the groundwater flowing from Aso. Having fully enjoyed its charm, my mind and body were satisfied as I approached the finish line. The uphill climb just before the finish line repelled runners like the stone walls and samurai-gaeshi (warrior-repelling) walls of Kumamoto Castle. Would I be able to reach the finish line, where the brass band of Kumamoto Technical High School alumni resounded?
