İşini mi Bitiriyorsun Mesaini mi? İş hayatında “Presenteizm"

In this week's video, we examined the impact of the 9-day holiday on productivity. Are our colleagues who focus on finishing their shift rather than actually doing their work doing the right thing? We sought the answer to this question. The attempt to spread 2-3 hours of work over the entire workday has a cool name: presenteeism. It's a concept of shirking work by being present, not by being absent. It's the behavior of always appearing busy while actually doing little work. As someone who has worked in white-collar management for many years, I've experienced this a lot, observed it, and sometimes even done it myself  So why does this presenteeism happen? There are generally three main reasons: • The strongest reason is economic: People engage in mental procrastination because they feel they are not receiving adequate monetary compensation for their efforts and expertise. • The second reason is that they believe their work doesn't contribute to the company or department. They think their managers give them some "menial" tasks to keep them busy. • The third reason is that the work they accomplish comes back to them as increased targets in the next period. Sometimes, to avoid being subjected to these unreasonable target increases, they "take their time," so to speak. We would be very happy if those who agree and those who disagree would write their opinions; we would learn from them… I wish everyone a wonderful Eid al-Adha with their families and loved ones… #explore #productivity #productivework #presenteism
