Beretta 92/M9 Rics Compensator Recoil Test – SGS ALGIMEC Style Clone, Does It Actually Work?

Does a compensator actually make a difference on a Beretta 92 or M9? In this real-world recoil test, we put the Rick Gandy SGS-style clone compensator to the test on a full-size 92FS. No lab data, just raw range footage and honest impressions. Watch the back-to-back comparison: with and without the comp, and see how dramatically it reduces muzzle flip and felt recoil. This SGS-style comp is inspired by the classic "The Professional" movie setup, and it’s built with some modern tweaks (dual top ports, internal ring fitment, etc). After ~200 rounds, we assess: Recoil control Accuracy Reliability Installation fitment Spoiler: it works, and it works well. But is it for everyone? You decide. 👉 Comp made by Ric Gandy – email him directly if you would like to order [email protected] 👉 Subscribe for more Beretta mods, recoil tests, and gun gear reviews!    / @brandonbreezeguntube   🏷️ #Beretta92 #M9 #CompensatorTest #SGSStyleComp #GunMods #RecoilTest #BrandonBreeze #TheProfessional #BerettaBuild #PistolReview #GunReview #EDC #FirearmsCommunity Beretta 92/M9 SGS Style Compensator – Recoil Test & Impressions (Rick Gandy Clone) Finally got around to testing out the SGS-style compensator from Rick Gandandy on my Beretta 92FS. For those unfamiliar, this comp mimics the look and function of the old ALGIMEC SGS units (as seen in The Professional), but with some updates like twin top ports, side vents, and internal refinements. I did a simple range comparison: Shoot with no comp Then shoot with the comp installed Nothing scientific — just raw footage and visual analysis of muzzle flip. Takeaways: It absolutely reduces felt recoil and muzzle rise — dramatically. Honestly, it outperformed most Glock comps I’ve used. No functionality issues after 200 rounds. Point of aim/impact didn’t shift — still accurate to 25 yards. You will need to measure your barrel diameter so Rick can fit the internal ring properly. It’s a bit of a “movie gun flex” for sure, but it’s not just for looks. It works. I’ll link the full video below if you want to see the side-by-side comparison. Rick’s still making these in small batches, so if you want one, hit him up before he stops again.
