Hiking Monte Perdido | 3rd Highest Peak in Pyrenees | Pyrenees - Day 4

AllTrails Link https://www.alltrails.com/explore/rec... While visiting Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park in the Pyrenees, I took a full day to climb Monte Perdido, the third-highest peak in the range. It became a true test of endurance to finish within 12 hours due to the mandatory shuttle schedule. This was my first time attempting a time-sensitive hike, and Monte Perdido, “The Lost Mountain,” certainly did not disappoint. During peak seasons such as summer, Easter, and Spanish national holidays, private vehicles are not allowed to access Pradera de Ordesa, which makes the shuttle service the only option. The first bus departs from Torla-Ordesa at 7:00 am, and the last return bus from La Pradera leaves at 8:00 pm. Buses operate every 15 to 20 minutes from the National Park Visitor Center car park in Torla-Ordesa. A round-trip ticket costs €6 and can be purchased at the visitor center, where parking is free. Unless you stay overnight at Refugio Goriz, you have roughly 12 hours to complete the Monte Perdido climb in a single day. The route covers about 22 miles round-trip with approximately 7,000 feet of elevation gain, making it a challenging but incredibly rewarding adventure.
