The web appears to be a catalyst for extreme opinions and simplistic judgments. Is this really something new, or are we witnessing an ancient ritual in a modern key? Born in Venice in 1980, as a sailor he began working as a crime reporter at La Nuova Venezia and then at Il Gazzettino. In 2006, he created a delirious blog and three years later was called to Milan to collaborate on a magazine project. He went on to write about fitness for Men's Health, then about lifestyle and society for Cosmopolitan, and briefly about crime news for GQ. He published a book of historical anecdotes, "La storia la fanno gli idioti," and, in times of no suspicion, a political satire comic. He specializes in 20th-century history, which he now writes about for The Vision. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
