Initial reports indicate two fatalities. Around 11 a.m., a collision occurred on the A8 motorway between Karlsbad and Pforzheim involving a VW Caddy and two trucks. As confirmed by the police, one truck pushed the car in front of it under another truck. Two people were fatally injured. Another truck driver suffered shock and had to be treated by paramedics. The debris field is enormous. A large contingent of emergency personnel from the fire department, ambulance service, and police are on the scene.
