Right in front of the Naiku (Inner Shrine) of Ise Jingu—a destination on every Japanese person’s lifetime bucket list—lies "Okage Yokocho," a gorgeous street recreating the Edo period. And yep, I spent the entire time on a non-stop food tour there! 🤣 I tried a life-changing croquette from a historic 110-year-old beef specialty shop that was perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Then came an epic, visually stunning pudding-textured French toast that literally melted in my mouth like a dream. And finally, a deeply moving, incredibly flavorful Tekone-zushi from a legendary 200-year-old restaurant...!
