I recently went on a day trip to Nara, a place I highly recommend as a day trip from Osaka. Since most of the major attractions are clustered together, Nara was a truly relaxing and enjoyable city for me as a solo traveler on foot. 🔑 Recommended Route for a Nara Day Trip Start at a local, long-standing bakery 🥖 I started the day with a hearty meal at 'Chateau d'Or,' where the soft egg sandwiches were absolutely delicious. Encountering free-spirited deer everywhere 🦌 I was surprised to see deer roaming so freely wherever I went... but I quickly adapted and had a wonderful time with them. The atmosphere is insane! A mysterious healing time 🌿 I arrived at 'Ukimido' after passing Sarusawa Pond and Sagi Pond. From the path there to the scenery itself, it was filled with a tranquil and mysterious charm, which I really loved. The best home-style meal I've had in Japan 🍱 A neat and refined home-style meal at 'Kanakana,' a famous restaurant in Nara! I was so satisfied that I ended up having dinner there as well. Hidden Charms in the City Center and Sake Tasting 🍶 While strolling through the tranquil streets of Naramachi, I discovered the 'Harushika Sake Brewery' and enjoyed a special experience tasting five types of sake for just 700 yen. The Perfect End to the Day: A Tour of Nara's Famous Spots ⛩️ I thoroughly explored the area around the Nara National Museum, the magnificent 'Todaiji Temple,' and 'Nakatani-do,' famous for its exciting mochi-pounding performances.
