Modus Tawaran Kerja di Luar Kota, Dua Pelajar SMP Bandar Lampung Jadi Korban TPPO

BANDAR LAMPUNG (May 14, 2026) – The Lampung Regional Police have uncovered a human trafficking (TPPO) case involving two junior high school students from Bandar Lampung. The two victims were allegedly trafficked under the guise of being employed as therapists in Surabaya. This case was exposed by Lampung Regional Police Chief Helfi Assegaf, along with Lampung Governor Rahmat Mirzani Djausal and Bandar Lampung Mayor Eva Dwiana on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. The disclosure began with a report from the families of the victims, two students with the initials R (14) and B (15), residents of South Telukbetung, Bandar Lampung. The perpetrator, identified as S (17), promised them jobs as therapists, but upon arriving in Surabaya, the two were allegedly employed as prostitutes. The perpetrators were arrested in Surabaya on May 7, 2026, and are currently undergoing intensive police investigation. The Lampung Governor commended the police for their swift action and strongly condemned human trafficking practices involving minors. For assistance, victim R received assistance from the Lampung Provincial Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD), while victim B received assistance from the Bandar Lampung City Government.
