Body image and changes after spinal fractures

This session discusses body image issues for those with a curved spine (kyphosis) after spinal fractures. It recognises the distress and emotions some people feel as their body shape changes. It aims to help people to understand the experiences and external pressures that influence our perception of ourselves. We aim to help you better understand your thoughts and feelings about body image and to offer you support tools. Sarah Leyland ROS clinical adviser is joined by Professor of Psychology at the University of the West of England, Dr Phillippa Diedrichs.
