Thousands of miles away from the Middle East, there is a Chilean club which raises its flags for the Palestinian cause. Our friends at Brazilian Channel Peleja immersed themselves within in the club, to understand why the Club Deportivo Palestino's shirt has generated so much noise in recent years. This is just one example of many clubs throughout the world that exist as a means to maintain or celebrate a unique ethnic community. The club was founded in 1920 and plays in the Primera División de Chile. CD Palestino affirm the importance of football and identity, providing a sense of home to a community for 100 years.
