Tiny Room Stories: Town Mystery | Case #05: Blackmail | Additional Chapter
Welcome back to Tiny Room Stories: Town Mystery. It is the first entry into the Tiny Room franchise of indie puzzle games that feature strong narrative elements combined with intricate puzzles with hints scattered throughout the levels. Primarily a point-and-click game, it leverages 3D computer graphics to enable players to rotate the scene in three dimensions and enable them to obtain more information and solve puzzles in a more interactive fashion. The tale follows Peter Stone Jn, a private investigator, who is beckoned by his father to come visit his childhood home in Redcliff. However, upon reaching the town, it seems completely deserted, prompting him to prod further and uncover the mystery behind what really happened there. There once was a time when Peter Stone Junior was starting out on his job as a Private Detective, and not all the jobs that he used to take were entirely legal. Case #05 recounts the time when a certain journalist had been using some compromising evidence to Blackmail and extort large sums of money from Peter Stone's client, and how he was sent to ensure that it didn't occur again. Peter rolled up to the client's apartment and parked outside until he saw the journalist leave for work. He then began with his own workday. He entered the building to find the receptionist on a break in the toilet. He used the opportunity to crack into the computer and disable the camera surveillance. He then cut the power to Apartment 2C to ensure that the workers left for good. With his way clear, he used the Fire escape outside Apartment 2C to enter the penthouse numbered 4A, where the journalist lived. Inside, accessing the target's laptop was a simple task because of his vanity. It revealed the location of all the copies of the evidence that he had made as well as the original. Stone promptly got to work, unlocking the safe within the safe for the original, and then finding two copies within the bar and the walk-in closet. He then had to go to Apartment 3D to get the final copy. The resident was already inside, and Peter had to offer him a drugged pizza to put him to sleep. He obtained the key to his garage and went into the auto body workshop to find the final copy of the compromising evidence hidden within the hollowed body of a cleaning agent in the store room.
