5 MORE Notebooks Better Than Field Notes (Especially for Fountain Pens)

Field Notes pocket notebooks are extremely popular. They are brilliantly designed, and all of their special editions are beautiful and fun to collect. But Field Notes isn't the best pocket notebook out there, especially if you're using fountain pens. There are many other pocket notebooks that have better paper and stronger bindings. And with fountain pens, the paper in Field Notes usually bleeds pretty badly. So, what pocket notebooks are better than Field Notes AND fountain pen friendly? We're still trying to get to the bottom of the difference I'm seeing in performance. Also, they said the notebooks they sent were "office samples" that may have been in storage for a while and may have even traveled around to shows, which may have introduced some variables that changed the paper's performance. They also kindly offered to send a replacement from a different batch to compare with the others they sent. When all is said and done, I'm still convinced that Rhodia is an excellent, fountain pen friendly notebook brand.
