Ukraine has launched missile strikes on Russia’s Belgorod region. According to ASTRA’s open-source intelligence analysis, a gas pipeline production facility in the Russian city of Belgorod was attacked on the night of July 7 and a fire broke out at the facility. Residents of the city and region reported hearing multiple explosions at night. The acting regional governor announced that a facility and energy infrastructure in the city had been hit by a missile attack. He also reported that three people were injured in the village of Belovskoye. According to ASTRA’s open-source intelligence analysis based on footage released by eyewitnesses, one of the facilities attacked was the Belgorod gas pipeline production facility located at 89A Michurin Street in Belgorod. A fire broke out at the facility after the strike. According to open-source intelligence, this facility is a branch of Gazprom Transgaz Moscow LLC and is part of Gazprom Open Joint Stock Company. The main task of the enterprise is to operate main gas transportation facilities in the Belgorod region and ensure the reliable delivery of natural gas to consumers in the region.
