Reading of letters from the girls of The Chill program at the Shloshim of Rav Chaim Yisrael Abadi zt"l, held at Cedar Palace in Lakewood, NJ on Monday, June 1, 2026. Rav Chaim Yisrael Abadi zt"l (1960 to 2026) was the founder of Minyan Shelanu in Lakewood, NJ, a pioneering program providing a non-judgmental, supportive home for at-risk teens and young adults from yeshiva backgrounds. He also established The Chill, a parallel program for girls. Through warmth, unconditional love, and tireless dedication, he helped countless young people return to productive, Torah-observant lives. He was widely known throughout Lakewood and beyond for the words, "When all else fails, call Chaim Abadi." Rav Chaim was the son of the renowned posek Rav Yitzchak Abadi zt"l. He was niftar in May 2026 at the age of 66 and is survived by his rebbetzin Fraidy and family. More about Rav Chaim Abadi zt"l and his legacy: https://www.ravchaimabadi.com/ יהי זכרו ברוך
