HIKING to BIG BUDDHA PHUKET| Did NOT go as planned!!

Today we made the journey from Kata all the way up to the Big Buddha on Phuket. This was certainly a day of challenges faced and lessons learned. Hiking over 1000m straight up in hot and humid weather is most definitely not for the faint of heart. Coming from a place in Canada that is dry and flat, this was unlike any of our hikes back home! We may have arrived sweaty and exhausted but the views were well worth it! We soaked in the views, enjoyed an incredible lunch, and then made our way home.........at least one of us did. Thank goodness for cell phones, kind strangers, and air conditioning! To cap off our eventful day we saw one of the most GORGEOUS sunsets we've seen on this trip. The whole sky turned a different colour! Felt very rewarding after the day we had. Definitely a day we won't be forgetting anytime soon.
