Brebes – Brebes Police Chief, AKBP Lilik Ardhiansyah, S.H., S.I.K., M.H., accompanied by Deputy Chief of Brebes Police, Commissioner Ryke Rahmadhila, S.H., S.I.K., M.H., and the Jatibarang Police Chief, visited the residence of Mrs. Kusmiah in Bojong Village, Jatibarang District, Brebes Regency, on Thursday (June 18, 2026). The visit was a token of appreciation, appreciation, and respect from the Brebes Police for Mrs. Kusmiah's heroic actions in foiling an attempted theft of Rp 3.6 billion on Jalan Ahmad Yani, Brebes Regency. On this occasion, the Brebes Police Chief handed over aid in the form of basic food packages and a token of appreciation for Mrs. Kusmiah's courage and concern in helping prevent crime. In addition, the Brebes Police will also present an award to Mrs. Kusmiah, which will be officially presented at the 80th Bhayangkara Day Commemoration Ceremony on July 1, 2026. Behind her heroic actions, Mrs. Kusmiah is a humble and determined woman. As a widow, she provides for her family by working as a parking attendant and a beverage vendor in Brebes City. Every day, she travels approximately 12 kilometers from her home in Bojong Village to work, even beginning her journey by walking to the main road to find transportation to Brebes City. Despite living in limited circumstances, Mrs. Kusmiah is known as a friendly, honest, and grateful person. This attitude was evident when she witnessed an attempted theft of a vehicle carrying a large sum of money. Without considering the potential risks, she spontaneously shouted for help, attracting the attention of the surrounding community and preventing the perpetrator from carrying out his act. Thanks to her courage, Rp 3.6 billion was recovered. Brebes Police Chief, AKBP Lilik Ardhiansyah, stated that Mrs. Kusmiah's actions exemplify the community's concern for environmental security. "She is a humble person with a big heart. Her courage, honesty, and concern are worthy examples for us all. Our presence here is a form of appreciation and respect for her contribution in helping maintain public security. We will also present an award at the 80th Bhayangkara Day Ceremony as a token of appreciation for her noble actions," said AKBP Lilik Ardhiansyah.
