A brawl between groups of students that occurred on Monday (March 30th) afternoon on the North Ring Road (Jalingkut) in Wanasari District, Brebes, resulted in the death of one student from a sharp weapon. The victim, identified as RZS (15), a resident of Karangsari Village, Bulakamba District, suffered serious injuries to his left waist and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Bulakamba Community Health Center. The body was then taken to Brebes Regional Hospital for an autopsy by a joint forensic team. The incident is suspected to have stemmed from a dispute on social media that led to a physical encounter between groups of students from different schools. In response to the incident, the Brebes Police acted swiftly and carefully. Led directly by the Deputy Chief of Brebes Police and the Head of the Mobile Brigade Unit, the team successfully apprehended 10 students at various locations in less than 24 hours. Investigators are currently conducting intensive investigations and developing the case to identify all parties involved, including the main perpetrators, initiators, and provocateurs.
