賽後才發現車有問題!SDS期末BMAX實戰心得|軌道分析+車輛設定分享

1. Track Characteristics and Two Major Challenges [00:58] This competition used a five-track track, which is quite long, so the basic speed must be high. There were two main sections on the day that were most likely to cause players to lose control: Challenge 1: After the AB transition (the "steamer" section), you must immediately "connect to a curve." This section had an extremely high chance of causing a car to lose control during testing. Challenge 2: The "jump to curve, straight, and then curve" section before the finish line was also a serious point of failure for cars to lose control. Key Tuning: Since these two most difficult curves rely on the right-side guide wheel for support, the author's core tuning strategy for the day was to maximize the support and stability of the right-side guide wheel. 2. Setup and Practical Analysis of the Six Qualifying Vehicles ① VZ Chassis Car (Originally the most favored champion) [02:00] Configuration and Adjustments: The right side originally used a 9mm guide wheel top rail; a "double-section guide wheel" was added on-site to enhance side support. The rear brakes were removed, and a modification known as "leg wrenching" was installed (using S1 10mm plastic guide wheels). These guide wheels, rubbing against the rails, act as brakes and improve jump smoothness. Data: The motor is a Hyper-Dash 3, and the bike weighs only 127 grams (the lightest), offering excellent grip and speed. Result: The bike lost the championship due to a misaligned part, a great pity. ② SFM Chassis Bike (New) (Second Place) [03:55] Configuration and Adjustments: The front guide wheels feature a unique asymmetrical design of "13mm on one side and 17mm on the other" (both mounted on 19mm holes, not against regulations). The original 13mm wheels would cause the bike to flip in the bend before the jump, but the 17mm wheels provided stability. Data: The motor is an Atomic-Tuned, and the bike weighs 140 grams. The tires are a front grey tire (for grip) and a rear supersonic tire. Key secret: Utilizing a "narrow chassis" setup common in Southeast Asia and the Philippines (19mm hole for a 13mm guide wheel), narrow at the front and wide at the rear, making it very easy to take in corners. ③ Classic old friend chassis FMA Copper Teeth (Third place) [06:43] Configuration and adjustments: Almost no time for adjustments on the day of the race; it was immediately put on the track. The front guide wheel is a double-stage reverse mount; the rear guide wheel has a standard 19mm plastic tire on top and a bearing tire on the bottom. Originally equipped with a small counterweight, it was removed on the day after it was discovered that it could run without it. Data: Weight 150 grams (slightly heavy); tires are also a front grey tire and a rear supersonic tire. ④ Bear-shaped MS-L (Mid-engine) [08:07] Configuration and Adjustments: Due to its inability to withstand right turns, a plastic guide wheel was added to the front right side for reinforcement. Data: Weight: 161 grams (because it carried a bear plush toy). ⑤ Manta Ray ME Chassis (Mid-engine) [09:20] Configuration and Adjustments: A super-thruster (a large, swingable shock absorber) was installed at the rear, and the front guide wheel was 17mm with a bullet-shaped shock absorber. It was discovered on-site that some parts were already warped after the run. The underside was partially sealed with tape to reduce friction and increase speed. Data: Weight: 155 grams. ⑥ The original SFM chassis (the lucky car that won 4th place) [10:14] Configuration and Adjustments: There wasn't enough time to adjust it that day; even the rear shock absorber wasn't installed. The front guide wheel is 13mm in a 19mm hole, and the rear guide wheel is also 19mm (narrow at both ends). Actual situation: During the final race, the speed decreased due to the battery running low, but this turned out to be a blessing in disguise. With all the other competitors having exhausted their batteries, the car steadily completed the last lap and finished the race smoothly. The car weighs 141 grams and uses a Hongshan motor with a 3.5:1 gear ratio. 3. Three key takeaways and pain points summarized after the race [11:54] Pain point: Bring enough batteries! The author only brought enough batteries for 6 cars that day, and by the second round, the batteries were completely depleted. Fortunately, fellow riders and teammates (Rabbit Knight) kindly lent batteries, allowing the author to continue and finish the race. Chassis advantage: Front-engine chassis (FM series) remain strong. Although the author personally hopes to promote rear-engine chassis (such as VZ), the top three positions in this race were still taken by vehicles with front-engine chassis, which definitely has an advantage on the ramp track. Biggest takeaway: It was verified that using the "leg wedge (guide wheel brake)" setting at the rear in the five-track course does have a significant effect on stabilizing the jumpin...
