Beekeeping: First Hive Inspection of the Nectar Flow
The nectar flow is here! In this hive inspection, I walk you through exactly what to look for when bees start bringing in nectar. The top super is 60% full and the bees are just starting to work their way into the bottom super. I also check for signs of swarming and find a few empty queen cups, a good reminder of what to look for and why it matters even when everything looks fine. 🐝 I’m Derrik and I keep six backyard hives, documenting the journey here on Gram’s Garden. Drop your questions in the comments, especially if you’re just getting started! See you next time in Gram’s Garden. #beekeepingforbeginners #beekeeping #backyardbeekeeping #howtokeepbees #beginnerbeekeeping
