Women following a low-carb, keto, or carnivore diet often correct their sodium intake to resolve fatigue, headaches, and muscle cramps, yet some continue to experience high blood pressure readings or ongoing fluid retention. This video looks at the hormonal factors that control how the kidneys manage sodium and water, including insulin, aldosterone, and cortisol, and how chronic stress can influence blood pressure independently of diet. It addresses why blood pressure and stress are usually treated as unrelated by conventional medicine, and what that means for women in perimenopause and menopause who are already eating a well-formulated ketogenic or carnivore diet with adequate salt intake.
