Nothing But a Sheet

New song. It's called "Nothing But a Sheet." I wrote it because I'm tired of watching good women go to war with the mirror every single morning. Six AM, sucking in, turning sideways, picking apart a body that has carried children, carried grief, carried entire households on its back. Calling herself tired. Calling herself too much or not enough. While the person across the room is looking at her like she hung the moon and can't understand who taught her to see herself so wrong. Here's the truth the song is built on. The prettiest version of her was never the silk or the Sunday white or the black dress saved for Saturday night. It was her in an old t-shirt with toothpaste on her chin. It was her singing off-key in the kitchen with her hair piled up in a mess. It was her at her most ordinary, most unguarded, most real. You don't need to fix a single thing. You don't need to shrink, smooth, filter, or apologize. The people who actually love you fell for the version of you that you keep trying to edit out. So this one's for everybody, woman or man, who's been chasing some "more" that was never required. What you're looking for is what somebody else is already looking at. Put the measuring tape down. You were perfect before your feet hit the floor today. 🎵 "Nothing But a Sheet" at inkandiron.ie #InkAndIron #CreateAndLeadByExample #NothingButASheet #BodyPositive #YouAreEnough #CountryMusic #NewMusic #loveyourself
