Amtrak/LTEX Rail P40DC unit 828 Tribute 561st Subscriber Special

Happy Friday everyone!!!!!!!!!!! Hello everyone and welcome back to my channel and welcome to my channel if you are new here. For today's new video we will be looking at some great memories made by Amtrak GE P40DC unit 828. As Amtrak P40DC unit 828 is now sadly being planned for scrap in Lordstown Ohio. P40DC unit 828 was built by General Electric Transportation for Amtrak back in 1993 and began revenue service that same year. 44 GE P40DC Genesis Series locomotives were built for Amtrak in total to replace Amtrak's older iconic EMD F40PH locomotives. The GE AMD-103 aka P40DC Genesis Series locomotives had 4, 000 horsepower and a top speed of 103 mph. The GE Genesis Series locomotives fully replaced all 216 EMD F40PH locomotives between 1993 and 2002. EX Amtrak GE P40DC unit 828 was fully retired from Amtrak passenger service back in 2019 and it is now owned by Larry's Truck And Electric in Lordstown Ohio where it will sadly eventually be scrapped.
