In this teaching from the series "Understanding and Knowing Myself," Pastor David Guevara expounds on Psalm 139:7-12 and explains God's omnipresence: He is present everywhere with all that He is. No building can contain Him, no distance can separate us from Him, and no darkness can hide us from His gaze. This truth should inspire reverence, because our entire life unfolds before God. It also gives us rest by reminding us that the Lord remains near in sickness, uncertainty, difficult decisions, loneliness, and seasons of pain. His hand guides and His right hand upholds those who seek Him, as David learned by consulting the Lord in the midst of danger and receiving forgiveness when confronted with his sin. God's omnipresence also leads us to the gospel. God drew near to us in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again. Those who have not yet come to Christ are called to repentance and faith, while believers are called to live with sincerity, obedience, and trust.
