This is the story of how one routine work shift turned into an inexplicable contact, forcing mine management and the experts involved to urgently review all safety protocols. For a long time, this incident remained only whispers in the mine cabins, until a careful reconstruction of the events revealed that what was happening at the nine-hundredth level was far more complex than a simple technical malfunction or sensor error. Why were official records erased, and the only solution was the unprecedented concreting of an entire level? We have collected the surviving fragments of records and testimonies to shed light on a mystery that was safely hidden beneath thousands of tons of rock.
