13 KM on Ice: Walking the Satopanth Glacier to the Ganga's Source | Solo | Uttarakhand

The Satopanth Glacier is a 13 KM river of ice hidden in the Garhwal Himalayas — one of the primary sources feeding the Alaknanda and ultimately the holy Ganga. In this episode, I walk directly ON the glacier from Satopanth Lake, navigating dangerous boulder moraines, hidden crevasses, and unpredictable snow patches at 4,600+ meters — completely alone. Along the way, you'll see live avalanches from Balakun Peak, crystal-clear glacial ponds (kunds), the towering Chaukhamba massif, and the mythical Swargarohini route — the path Yudhishthira is said to have taken to heaven. This isn't just a trek.
