【西国街道／海田市】参勤交代のおもかげ JR安芸中野駅→海田市→安芸区府中町 歴史のある道 近世山陽道 広島ドライブ

This is a continuation of the previous video. It starts from JR Aki Nakano Station just after dawn and goes through Kaida City to Fuchu-cho, Aki Ward. The road is now paved with asphalt, but the width is still the same as it was back then, 2.5 ken (4.5 m). It was part of the early modern Sanyo Road, and the section within the Hiroshima domain was called the Saigoku Kaido Road. It seems that people came and went on the road on their way to and from work, and took a rest in Kaita City. Please take a look while thinking about the people of those days.
