Mayor Turner-Sloss Announces Launch of "Flight Plan"

Mayor Shenise Turner-Sloss will announced the launch of her “Flight Plan,” a strategic roadmap designed to guide the city of Dayton toward stronger neighborhoods, safer communities, and a more responsive City Hall. Mayor Turner-Sloss will formally introduced the Flight Plan and discussed implementation during a public press conference on Monday, June 8, at 3:30 p.m. at City Hall. “Dayton deserves a government that listens, responds, and delivers results,” said Mayor Turner-Sloss. “This Flight Plan is about creating a clear path forward for Dayton, one that puts residents first, addresses the root causes of challenges we face, and builds new opportunities for every Daytonian. This is the beginning of a new day in Dayton.” The Flight Plan is organized around three strategic priorities called “Runways.” Each Runway establishes measurable benchmarks for progress. The Runways are: People-Centered Governance, Reimagining Public Safety, and Business and Economic Development. Mayor Turner-Sloss will convene three new mayoral committees made up of diverse voices in the community.
