The Building and Planning Committee reviewed ongoing facility improvement projects, regulatory compliance initiatives, and infrastructure upgrades across Kern Valley Healthcare District. Updates were provided on the Seismic Master Plan, Emergency Generator project, Skilled Nursing Facility improvements, and seismic compliance work involving the Dietary, Surgery, and Central Plant buildings. The committee received an update on the successful completion and relocation of the Mesa Clinical Pharmacy into the new administration building suites, marking a significant milestone in the District’s facility’s modernization efforts. Discussions also focused on project timelines, regulatory approvals, grant-related requirements, and the resumption of several facility improvement projects that had been delayed while the pharmacy project was being completed.
