Kwara NDLEA Arrests 985 Suspects, Seizes 5.7 Tonnes of Illicit Drugs in One Year

The Kwara State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested 985 suspects, 882 males and 103 females and seized 5,781.402 kilograms of illicit drugs across the state. Among the notable seizures was a black SUV bearing a Federal Government number plate “PJHR-783” with inscription “Justice and Human Rights”, intercepted in Jebba community with 600 blocks of cannabis sativa weighing 304 kilograms. The State Commander, Fatimah Popoola, disclosed this during a press briefing in Ilorin the state capital ahead of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking where she said the achievements were recorded between June 26, 2025 and June 24, 2026.
