Vlog #19: Hong Kong, dim sum, Taipei 101, 卤肉饭

✨ Welcome back to Beyond the Wall! ✨ The adventure with my sister is coming to an end… our last destination being Hong Kong! We spent two packed days exploring the city, eating our way through dim sum, visiting museums (or really, parks), riding the iconic ferry, and squeezing every last bit out of our time together before our paths finally split🌃 Then it was time for something I had been looking forward to for MONTHS: returning to my favorite island, Taiwan!! After studying Chinese there for a year after high school, coming back felt less like a trip and more like coming home. I got to reunite with old friends, have not one but TWO lunches with my former host family, and take all of you along to some of my favorite places in the world. From my old campus and the streets of Ximending, to Danshui, Taipei 101, Maji Square, and Shilin Night Market, this vlog is part travel guide, part nostalgia trip, and part love letter to the place that played such a huge role in my Chinese-learning journey! Eventually, though, every adventure has to come to an end.
