Your staff are a “compounding asset” — and losing them could be costing you millions

‪@FTAdviserOfficial‬ sat down with workplace culture expert and author of five books Jenny Segal, who explained to us why businesses can only ever be as successful as the people who work within it. Success in advice businesses is about measuring the “commerciality of margins”, says Segal. But this needs to take into consideration the people, who should be seen as a “compounding asset”. “When you think about the cost when someone leaves a business, it’s huge. “So it’s actually much more sensible to invest in your people and to make sure that they are really happy and motivated. “And when you look at what motivates people, yes it’s money up to a point.
