Rich Savoy | Founding Grower of One Acre & Savoy Vineyards

Ted Lemon sits down with legendary grower, Rich Savoy, the founding owner of Deer Meadows (One Acre) and Savoy vineyards. While managing his San Francisco bookstore by day, Rich was able to transform an undeveloped plot of land high in the mountains of Anderson Valley into a world-class site for Pinot Noir. They recount the initial challenges of growing in such a remote area, the difficult business of winegrowing and how Ted has rediscovered the Deer Meadows property since purchasing it in 2016.
