This trip takes us on a tilting ICE-T train from one Saxon metropolis to another, more specifically from Leipzig to Dresden. Along the way, we pass through Wurzen, Oschatz, Riesa, Radebeul, and Dresden-Neustadt station, among others. However, tilting is not possible on the section between Leipzig and Dresden, as this line is not equipped with GNT. Due to the comparatively small number of curves, the tilting effect would not be particularly effective. The line, which is already partially designed for speeds of up to 200 km/h, largely renders the GNT system obsolete anyway. Shortly after leaving Leipzig Central Station, the ICE train travels past the sidings and other stops. On the outskirts of the city, the route then takes us past the Leipzig Engelsdorf standstill management center. Here, countless vehicles are parked, awaiting either a second life or scrapping. The train has now been incorporated into the LZB (Licensed Rail Transit System) and can now accelerate to its line-side maximum speed. The three-track route up to Borsdorf (Saxony) can be optimally used for the various traffic flows. The train then continues on the double-track main line to Dresden. Occasionally, construction sites will be encountered, forcing passengers to travel on the opposite track. After approximately one hour, the train will reach Dresden Central Station in the Saxon capital.
