Hon. Naomi Waqo questions govt over Tiitu construction

Hon.Naomi Waqo has questioned Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen over alleged government facilitation of ongoing construction activities at Tiitu grounds within the disputed Moyale–Eldas border area. She raised concern over the continued construction despite earlier parliamentary concerns, questioning why the project is still proceeding amid rising tensions linked to the boundary dispute. The legislator further called on CS Murkomen to clarify whether government agencies are involved or facilitating the presence of heavily armed groups at the site, urging immediate accountability and intervention to de-escalate tensions and ensure the matter is handled lawfully and peacefully. In addition, Hon. Waqo directed remarks to Eldas MP Adan Keynan, stating: “You have mobilised every Government agency against our people, let’s meet in Parliament.”
