The second due to economic opportunities, quality of life and cultural diversity. Among European countries, France, Germany, and Italy are also popular destinations for Armenian women due to economic opportunities, quality of life, and social security. Other Armenian women have wished to emigrate to Canada or Australia, for similar reasons. Armenia is home to a unique ancient alphabet, the Armenian alphabet, which was created in the 5th century. The capital of Armenia is Yerevan, a modern city with a population of approximately 1,100,000. Other important cities are Gyumri, Vanadzor and Goris. The majority of the population lives in the Ararat Valley, a fertile region located in the west of the country. Armenia has a rich culture and history dating back thousands of years. The country is known for its music, dance, literature and architecture. Armenian culture has been influenced by its neighbors, such as the Greeks, Persians, Turks and Russians. Armenia faces a number of challenges, such as poverty, corruption and dependence on remittances. The country also has a territorial conflict with Azerbaijan over the Nagorno-Karabakh region. This has isolated Armenia from its neighbors and hindered its economic development. According to the National Statistics Service of the Republic of Armenia, in 2022, 2.5% of Armenia's total workforce was made up of foreign workers.
