Simon Chair in Catholic Studies at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, is a Catholic theologian and one of America’s leading public intellectuals. His talk at Holy Cross, titled "St. John Paul II on the Free and Virtuous Society: Democracy, the Market, and Culture," is co-sponsored by the Department of Political Science’s Charles Carroll Program and the McFarland Center’s Deitchman Family Lectures on Religion and Modernity.
