Our journey begins in Kathmandu as we fly to Nepalgunj, preparing to enter one of Nepal's most remote and fascinating regions. However, things didn't go as planned. Due to flight cancellations, we were forced to change our plans and endure a challenging 15-hour overland drive through rugged mountain roads to reach the starting point of our trek. From there, the real adventure began. Over the next few days, we trekked through remote villages, crossed stunning landscapes, followed the turquoise Phoksundo River, and finally arrived at the breathtaking Phoksundo Lake, one of Nepal's most spectacular natural wonders and the gateway to Upper Dolpo.
