Somebody Told Me by The Killers | 7-Year-Old Drummer | Volcano Cats Live

Volcano Cats live: "Somebody Told Me" by The Killers. Dad on guitar, Joe (7) on drums, vocals up front. One take, no overdubs. The other Killers song. The one you can't sit still to. ABOUT VOLCANO CATS Volcano Cats is a Bay Area family rock band — Joe Young (7) on drums and his dad Michael on guitar. Joe started playing at age 3 and was completely self-taught off YouTube until age 6, learning by watching Foo Fighters, Iron Maiden, Baroness, The Cult, the Ramones, Weezer, and Halestorm. He's now 70+ songs deep and runs full sets at county fairs, festivals, school assemblies, and clubs across the Bay. ABOUT THIS SONG "Somebody Told Me" was released by The Killers in 2004 on their debut album Hot Fuss — the second single, after "Mr. Brightside," and the song that made everyone realize Hot Fuss wasn't a one-hit record. Ronnie Vannucci's drum part is one of the great 2000s dance-rock beats: driving, four-on-the-floor with just enough attitude on the snare to keep it rock. It was on every radio station and every teen movie for about two years straight. Joe was born fourteen years after it came out and can play it like he was there.
