On May 9th, I visited Mr. Ogier's garden in Kazo City, Saitama Prefecture. Passing through the archway, a gentle landscape unfolds, as if the roses are welcoming you with a "welcome." 🌹 While the garden boasts 140 rose bushes, it's not just the roses that are beautiful. It's filled with memories of their rescued cats, handcrafted mortar decorations, a shed that the couple gradually built together during the pandemic, and a garden room where they can spend time with their cats. 🐈 The garden is filled with things that Mr. Ogier cherishes and loves. I heard many stories about the beauty of even the falling petals of English roses, and his thoughts on gardening. Before I knew it, I felt less like I was looking at a garden and more like I was being shown Mr. Ogier's precious possessions.
