Cozy Morning Routine of a Japanese Mom with her Budgie & Rabbit | Daily Life in Japan

Hello! I'm Sayuri, a Japanese mom living in Japan with my two teenage sons, a rabbit, and a budgie. As I was tidying up the kitchen in the morning, my budgie, Minie-chan, came over asking for some vegetables. So I gave some lettuce to both Minie-chan and my rabbit, Choco-chin. After finishing his own lettuce, Minie-chan happily shared the rest with Choco-chin. But when Choco-chin grabbed the very last piece, Minie-chan gave him a little kick! It was such a funny moment. After that, I boiled tea for my younger son to take to his middle school club activities, then continued cleaning up the kitchen. As usual, I sorted the garbage before having a simple breakfast of toast with blueberry jam, kiwi, and coffee. After my son left for his club activities, I washed the breakfast dishes, gave the kitchen a quick wipe-down, and took out the trash in the light rain. The flowers I planted last week are still doing well. An amaryllis that I thought had already finished blooming surprised me by flowering beautifully again. My balloon flowers are taking their time this year and still haven't bloomed yet. When I returned to the kitchen, Minie-chan came over for his bath, so it was bath time. No matter how many times I watch him, he's always adorable. After enjoying his bath, Minie-chan went back to spend some time with Choco-chin. Just another peaceful start to an ordinary day.
