We picked up this 1970 Mercury 7.5hp thunderbolt ignition outboard from Facebook Marketplace for just £100 as a non runner — and honestly, we had no idea what we where doing. We originally planned on fixing & flipping which we got this idea from "BOAT BUSTERS" on YouTube since purchasing it we have had a change of plans which you will see at the end of the video.98 This is our very first time attempting anything like this, and it turned into an amazing father-and-son project. Together we researched and learned what we had to learn to get this going. What started as an old engine that barely looked hopeful slowly came back to life, and hearing it finally run perfectly made all the effort worth it.
