I hopped on my trusty scooter, departed from the bustling streets of Chiang Mai, and set my sights on the 105km ride to Lampang city. It should've been a mere hour and 20 minutes, but you know me, I can't resist stopping to soak in the vibes along the way, so I cruised into Lampang after about 2 hours. The moment I arrived, it was crystal clear that Lampang isn't your typical tourist hotspot. I mean, seriously, I couldn't spot a fellow foreigner anywhere – I was the lone wolf exploring this hidden gem. First on my radar was the town's iconic clock tower, radiating a timeless charm that's just, well, timeless! And then, I stumbled upon something truly magical – the one-of-a-kind Horse and Carriage that gracefully glides through the city's streets, all for a small fee. Lampang is the ONLY place in Thailand still embracing this vintage mode of transport! So, of course, I couldn't resist taking a twirl around the town center to soak in the vibes and share my very first impressions of this place.
