Guild CE-100D | Présentation & Demo | Fabrice Leder | Guitare Village Juke Joint

Two Guild CE-100Ds face off at Guitar Village's Juke Joint. Fabrice Leder retraces the history of an unjustly overlooked brand: born in the 1950s in New York from former Epiphone luthiers, founded by Al Dronge, and built on the DeArmond pickups that made these archtops legendary. A 1975 blonde with a five-piece neck, a 1979 Sunburst with a three-piece neck: same DNA, two distinct personalities. And running through it all is the portrait of George Barnes, an American swing guitarist born in 1921, one of the very first to play electric guitar, a legendary session musician alongside Patsy Cline, Mel Tormé, and Bucky Pizzarelli, now almost forgotten in Europe. Sound demo included, transistor amp, Sennheiser 421 pickup, flat EQ. Video production: Mat Ninat Studio Guitare Village · guitarevillage.com
